Kihon
KIHON - an important part of karate training. Can you move with full concentration and with all your strength precisely towards a recognized target? Forwards? Backwards? Sideways? And do this despite disruptive factors such as tiredness, heat or other thoughts? In Kihon we learn that knowledge and ability are two different things. Every karateka practices feeling for himself how body control can be perfected.
Every technique (movement sequence) should be carried out with Kime, completed and concentration maintained.
However, it is not enough to know what I want to do and how I want to do it. It is also not enough to talk or write about it. Consistent practice in Kihon is what gradually improves imperfect performance. The goal is always to improve skills, the art. The joy of success rewards our practice.
